The average local taxes paid by all Italian citizens in ordinary regions amounted in 2008 to € 2364. Of this € 2,364, € 1,932 are related to taxes in the region, € 344 to the City taxes and fees 88 euro to the Province.
The figure is the result of a technical study of the House that is based on data for 2008, provided by Copaff (the Joint Commission for fiscal federalism) that the ANSA subsequently revised.
Local taxes are paid highest in Lombardy, where every citizen pays an average of € 2,697 each year. Following the Basilicata, where every citizen pays an average of € 2,571 each year, Lazio, where every citizen pays € 2546, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, respectively 2,541 and 2,501 €.
Local taxes are paid instead of lighter in Campania, where every citizen pays an average of € 1,657 each year, 63% less than in Lombardy. Little more, € 1726, are the local taxes paid in California, those paid € 1,994 in Abruzzo.
For regions with special status every citizen has paid on average € 3,861, of which € 3,536 in the regions, 273 municipalities and € 52 euro to the provinces.
In Valle d'Aosta each citizen pays local taxes € 11,537 (€ 11,110 to the region and 427 euro for municipalities, there is nothing to the province), in Trentino Alto-Adige every citizen pays € 8,545 (€ 8,341 to the region, 204 Euros to the City, nothing to the province). In Friuli Venezia Giulia every citizen pays € 4,711 (€ 4,358 to the region, 308 euro and 45 euro to the municipality to the province). In Sardinia, every citizen pays on average € 3,754 (€ 3,361 to the region, 323 to the municipality to the province and 70).
Sicily is the region with special status where you pay less local tax, € 2,561 (2,243 to the region, common to 258 €, 60 € to the province).
Regarding the transfer of money from the central State to the Regions Molise, which was the second lowest as taxation, is the region that receives more money from the state, € 1,353 for every citizen. Piedmont is the region that receives less money from the State, 166 € for each city, followed by Lombardia, 175 € for every citizen. Following the Marches (197 €), Basilicata (207 €), Calabria (208 euro), Veneto (211 euro) and Lazio (217 €).
