Hubble photographed the collision between two asteroids

The Hubble Space Telescope was able to photograph for the first time, the collision between two asteroids.
The photo , taken last week showed the object called P/2010 A2 and a long tail of debris. Initially mistaken for a comet was then seen that does not emit gases such as comets passing near the sun evaporates the ice see they are made.
Astronomers have thus reached the conclusion that the tail of debris was due to the impact between two asteroids that would have collided at a speed of 5 km / sec (15,000 mph) or greater than a distance of about 150 million kilometers from the earth.
