The ranking of the most powerful women in the world according to Forbes

The American magazine Forbes has published its annual ranking of the 100 most powerful women in the world. In the 2009 rankings published in recent days in the first place is German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is in first place for much of this Forbes for the fourth consecutive year.

Thirty-third place at the only Italian Marina Berlusconi, daughter of the Chairman of the Board and President of the Fininvest group.
At the thirty-fifth place Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives, to follow the thirty-sixth place Hillary Rodham Clinton's Secretary of State and wife of former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
The fortieth place Michelle Obama, wife of the current President Barack Obama, on the forty-placed Queen Elizabeth II.
Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. Secretary of State, seventh in the standings last year , and Laura Bush, former first lady, Forty-ranking in the last year do not appear in this year.
